Trucked Flipped On First St. Winter Haven Photo By S. Burney
Winter Haven, Florida – According to Winter Haven Police a serious of events led to a truck flipping over on in Winter Haven, Tuesday afternoon. A pickup truck was headed South on First St with a large water tank in the back (at least half full) when the light at Central changed. The driver applied the brakes, but the brakes didn’t stop the vehicle before entering the intersection. A vehicle traveling West on Central clipped the back corner of the pickup causing the pickup to overturn. The tank flew out of the truck and landed about a block away after it skidded to a stop!
The accident was not as serious as it appeared and fire crews were able to get the driver of the pickup out from underneath the vehicle. Only one person received minor injuries and was treated and released at Winter Haven Hospital.
